Mike Batayeh was born in Detroit but called Los Angeles home as he used to reside there until his death.
He has made prominent appearances as an actor in guest roles and recurring roles on several television programs, including Everybody Loves Raymond, Sleeper Cell, Touch, and Breaking Bad.
Along with his major part in Detroit Unleaded, he co-starred in movies including American Dreams, Gas, American East, Don’t Mess With The Zohan and American Dreams.
Mike has performed and been the headliner at prestigious comedy clubs nationwide, including Gotham in New York City and Laugh Factory(regular), Comedy Store, Improv, and Icehouse in Los Angeles.
He was a member of the first group of foreign comedians to perform for local audiences in the Middle East, in cities like Dubai.
He recorded a comedy special for Showtime Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan, where the royal family invited him to the Amman International Comedy Festival and Nazareth twice.
Mike Batayeh Weight Loss Before Death
There have been many speculations about the actor Mike’s weight loss before death. However, no official reports suggest that Batayeh lost weight.
The Breaking Bad star reportedly suffered from stress and depression. So we can speculate that may have led to his weight loss. But, the change in weight was neither talked about by the star himself nor his close ones.
According to the actor’s sister, Mike had no health issues regarding his heart. But, he suddenly died in his sleep at his Michigan, United States home.
Batayeh, a Los Angeles resident and native of Detroit, was survived by his five sisters and many nieces and nephews.
His manager confirmed to The Post that a celebration of life service is scheduled for June 16 in Plymouth, Michigan.
“He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many,” his family stated earlier in a statement to TMZ.
In three episodes of AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” from 2011 to 2012, Batayeh played Markowski, the manager of Lavandera Brillante, an industrial laundromat owned by drug lord Gus Fring.

Actor Mike Batayeh’s family disclosed to The Post that Batayeh passed very suddenly from a heart attack while he was sleeping and had no prior history of cardiac problems.
However, the cause of death later has been determined to be “asphyxia hanging.” The actor from “Breaking Bad” passed away on June 1 at his home in Michigan.
In an email to The Post, a Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office spokesman verified that the 52-year-old performer died due to the neck’s blood vessels or air passageways closing off from external pressure.
One of the factors that contributed to Mike’s demise may have been stress. ‘Hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are released when under stress.
According to studies, prolonged stress causes the body to produce high amounts of cortisol, raising blood pressure, triglycerides, sugar, and cholesterol levels.
Stress can also alter arterial plaque, which is concerning because this can harm the heart and cause general wear and strain on the body, according to Dr. Pravin Kahale, a consultant in cardiology at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
